From September 14 th to 20 th a delegation of representatives from economy, politics and education from North Carolina was informed about the know-how of Lower Austrian companies in the field of environmental technology. 
The main topic was energy optimization. Different plants and technologies were visited, at a workshop the possibilities for a further cooperation were discussed and developed. Topics like biofuel, biogas, biomass, solar energy, composting and energy efficient building were on the agenda.
The event was organized by the Ing. Friedrich Bauer GmbH and the Austrian Consulat of North Carolina with the target to increase the export chances for Austrian environmental technologies to America.
